NATIONAL CONTEST FOR ADMISSIONS TO HIGHER EDUCATION
Anyone holding a national (Portuguese) secondary education diploma or equivalent, with valid national exams and prerequisites (if applicable) may apply to the degree offered by the Schools of P.PORTO through the National Contest for Admissions to Higher Education (CNA – Concurso Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Superior). Candidates apply online through the official website of the Directorate General of Higher Education ((DGES - Direção Geral do Ensino Superior).

ADMISSION TO ESCOLA SUPERIOR DE MÚSICA, ARTES E ESPECTÁCULO
Admission to the degrees in music and theater offered by the School of Music, and Performing Arts (ESMAE) takes place through local admission contests (CLA - Concursos Locais de Acesso). In addition to holding a national secondary education diploma or equivalent, and valid national exams, students have to perform and successfully fulfill the School’s requirements (PAESMAE) to be able to submit their application through CLA. To register for PAESMAE visit P.PORTO’s online portal. CLA applications are also submitted online, in the same site.

SPECIAL ADMISSION PROGRAMMES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students can apply to the undergraduate degrees offered by P.PORTO Schools through the Special Admissions Programmes for International Students (CEEI - Concurso Especial para Estudantes Internacionais).
Considering Paragraph 1 of Article 3 of Decree-Law 36/2014 of 10 March, an international student is any student who does not have Portuguese nationality, except for those from EU member States; anyone who is not from a EU Member State, and has legally resided in Portugal for over two, uninterrupted years, on August 31 of the year they intend to enroll higher education and the children residing with them legally; anyone that request admission to higher education through special admission regimes, regulated by Decree-Law 393-A/99 of October 2, amended by Decree-Law 272/2009 of October 1.

SPECIAL ADMISSION PROGRAMMES
Anyone who has passed the specially designed exams to evaluate their capacity to attend higher education for candidates over 23 years old; who holds a degree or who graduates of technological specialization courses (DET - Diploma de Especialização Tecnológica) can apply to the undergraduate degrees available in P.PORTO’s schools through a special admission programme.
This special programme applies to students who are not international students, who are older than 23 as of the 31 December of the year preceding the contest and, at the time of registration, have not completed the entrance exams (national secondary school final exams) - CNA or CLA - for the desired course.
Registrations for the specially designed exams to evaluate their capacity to attend higher education are made online in P.PORTO’s portal. Applications are for special admission programmers are also online, in the same site.

RE-ADMISSION, TRANSFER OR COURSE CHANGE
Admission to the courses offered by the Schools of P.PORTO through the re-entry Institution/course transfer or change implies a valid registration/enrollment in the previous school year, in a course of higher education at a national or international higher education, but not yet completed, as well as the conditions established in Ordinance 181-D/2015 of 19 June.
