Created as part of collective course together with the Symphonic Orchestra, it provides additional instrumental specialisation to students in programmes that do not integrate orchestral training. Its repertoire is inclusive of pieces such as the Ein deutsches Requiem by J. Brahms, the cantata Portugalia Génesis by Luís Filipe Pires Chichesta Psalms by L. Bernstein, the Messe pour Nuit by Noël de Charpentier and the Symphony of Psalms by I. Stravinsky, among other works covering all musical styles and periods.
