The Master Degree in Business Information (MBI) is an innovative training in Information Science in Portugal.
MBI graduates will be able to work as information managers in a business context.
The Master program promotes entrepreneurship and innovation capabilities. MIB graduates will have a syncretic profile allowing them to recognize information as a strategic asset to the management of business organisations.
MBI graduates will be able to promote the optimisation of processes associated with information creation and use, in order to support the organisation's performance.

- MIB graduates will be able to perform the duties prescribed in the 4th level of the Euroréférentiel I&D (2005), corresponding to the profile of Expert in Information and Documentation area.
- The MIB graduates will be able to perform tasks related to information management in business environment, including small and medium companies or large economic groups. They will also be able to perform tasks related to the design and implementation of information search, organisation and distribution strategies. Organisational and functional analysis or rationalising organisational procedures are other tasks that MIB graduates can do. They can also work in an information system design aligned with the global needs of the organisation.
- Entrepreneurship in the development of information products and services is another promoted professional area.
